“Being a folk arts school means intentionality around rituals that bring the school together and building and affirming community. Ritual Calendar days are a chance for the school to say who we are and what we value. They help create a school identity and take pride in traditions both in and outside of the school walls.”

On this day, we remind ourselves of the important roles elders play in our homes and communities, and celebrate those elders who play important roles in our own lives.
Celebration of Peace
During FACTS’ Celebration of Peace we learn more about peace, we work on peace, we celebrate peace, and we spread peace using Teacher Losang’s lesson plans and visits to/from Teacher Losang.
